The Future Of Cyber Is Female
The entire SPHERE team is dedicated to addressing the talent and diversity shortage in the cyber security industry. That’s why we launched SP(HER)E – pronounced SPHERE HER - an interactive channel designed to highlight female leadership in cybersecurity. The initiative, which stands for Helping Everyone Rise, will highlight diverse women and allies in security and technology.
SP(HER)E’s mission is to invest in and recruit young women looking to make their mark in the security space by offering them hands-on experience and professional advice.
About The Program
From the moment they wake up until their final phone call of the day, women in the C-Suite work tirelessly to establish themselves in a fast-paced and ultra-competitive environment. Women just entering the technology workforce look up to these paragons of determination, grit, and success. If only they could see what it’s like, just for one day.
This is where SP(HER)E comes in. Every year, SPHERE connects twelve female technology execs with twelve up-and-coming women in tech to participate in a mentorship program. SP(HER)E participants will have the unique opportunity to shadow a female executive currently working in the technology industry, understanding the ins and outs of navigating executive-level functions in today’s digital world.
Shadowing occurs for one day in person and pairings are based on career goals, experiences, and geography. At the end of the year, we bring all 24 participants together for a celebratory gala to share learnings and highlight present and future female leadership.
